For the next month, anybody who buys and activates a new PS5 will receive a free game. It’s always wonderful to have choices when it comes to playing games on a new platform.
Sony’s most recent effort to entice PS5 owners is called the Upgrader Program and is refreshingly uncomplicated. Users must buy and activate their console before October 20 at 11:59 PM PT in order to receive a free game.
After completing that, simply visit the PlayStation Store and tap on a banner for this promotion to redeem a certain game. However, because the free games are digital downloads, you will need to create a PSN account if you don’t already have one.
Another wonderful feature is that the list of free games contains several well-known releases from recent years. The whole list of available games is provided below:
- Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales
- Marvel’s Spider-Man: Remastered
- God of War, Ragnarök
- Horizon Forbidden West
- Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut
- Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
- Demon’s Souls
- The Last of Us, Part I
- Sackboy: A Big Adventure
- Returnal
- Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection
- Death Stranding: Director’s Cut
Sadly, the Upgrader Program is only available to US residents, and it appears that if you recently bought a PS5 and activated it before September 23, you might not be qualified for the new promotion. However, for those who are able to participate, this is a fantastic way to start your PS5 game library with essentially no restrictions.
