Samsung Galaxy S24 release date predictions

The Samsung Galaxy S24 series is almost here, and its release is probably not too far off. Considering that the Samsung Galaxy S23 was released in February of last year, the new versions should arrive soon.

Nevertheless, Samsung doesn’t announce the latest Galaxy S phones at the exact same moment every year. Therefore, it’s unlikely that the Samsung Galaxy S24 and its siblings—the Galaxy S24 Plus and the Galaxy S24 Ultra—will be released in February 2024.

Nevertheless, we do know quite well when you will see them, so continue reading for our estimated announcement and release date predictions, which are based on a mix of leaks and past trends.

Predicted Announcement date

January 17 is our best estimate for when the Samsung Galaxy S24 will be announced. Although the Galaxy S23 range was introduced on February 1 of this year, that would still be a few weeks ahead of schedule; nevertheless, Samsung frequently modifies these dates.

However, why January 17 in particular? merely because there are no leaks indicating a different date, numerous sources have stated that this is when the Samsung Galaxy S24 range would be released, while others have only mentioned January or mid-late January.

Since Samsung has historically utilised January and February for phone announcements, we’d still advise taking this date with a grain of salt for the time being. At the absolute least, these phones ought to be released in those months.

Predicted Pre-order dates

One day after the announcement, on January 18, you could be able to pre-order the Samsung Galaxy S24 and its siblings.

This has been confirmed by one source, and although no other dates have been suggested, we are a little less certain about this than the announcement date because just one leaker has mentioned it thus far.

Given that the Samsung Galaxy S23 range went up for pre-order on the day of introduction, it’s possible that you could be able to pre-order these phones even earlier than that. Thus, January 17th is also a possibility.

Predicted Release date

The Samsung Galaxy S24 is expected to ship and be available for pickup in retailers on January 30, while pre-order customers may receive it as early as January 26. This information is based on a leak.

That means that, depending on reports, the phone will be revealed nine to thirteen days after that. Since no alternative date range has been suggested, it’s our best estimate for the release window; but, like with the other dates, we should approach this with caution.

For comparison, it took sixteen days for the Samsung Galaxy S23 and S22 to ship after their announcement, fifteen days for the Samsung Galaxy S21, and nearly a month for the Samsung Galaxy S20.

Thus, another reason to treat this leak with caution is that it would indicate a smaller gap between the announcement and release dates this year than usual.

Will all the three models be released on the same date?

Previous performance suggests that the Samsung Galaxy S24, S24 Plus, and S24 Ultra will all likely be shown on the same day, go up for pre-order on the same day, and ship on the same day. So, for all three phones, the anticipated dates shown above are accurate.

Although the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE only launched in October, there may be a Samsung Galaxy S24 FE later in the year. However, we wouldn’t expect that to be revealed before roughly October of 2024.
